Abraham Travis Dotson served as an Alderman for Ward 1 beginning in 2021 and as a Planning Commissioner since 2019, before becoming Mayor in 2023.  Travis worked for the city of Fayetteville, Arkansas for 15 years and has always enjoyed his roles in municipal government.  He is an entrepreneur and small business owner in Huntsville, where he operates a family-owned construction and development business.  Travis was named Business Person of the Year in 2017 by the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce.  Travis enjoys time with his family, farming, and hunting when time allows, and most of all enjoys serving his community.
